Dr. Robert Fried
Dr. Robert Fried received his undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and his medical degree from the Drexel University College of Medicine. He completed a residency in family medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and is board-certified in that specialty. He holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in hospice and palliative medicine. His diverse career includes experience in private practice, the academic world, and public health. Most recently, he was a staff physician with Palliative Care Services of St. Elizabeth Healthcare.
While working in Colorado, one of the first states to legalize medical marijuana, Dr. Fried managed many patients using legally sanctioned cannabis to relieve symptoms of serious disease. He has successfully completed several continuing education courses on medical marijuana and presented a seminar on its use at the 2016 meeting of the Kentucky Association of Hospice and Palliative Care. He has been authorized by the State of Ohio to recommend medical marijuana to patients with a qualifying disorder. He is currently employed by Ohio Green ReLeaf, a medical marijuana consultation practice.
